India is one of the largest producers and distributors of medicines, reaching cities and small towns alike. Among these are several vaccines that are essential for protecting children’s health. However, many of these important vaccines are available primarily in private hospitals due to their high cost.

Recently, Dr. Ravi Malik, a senior paediatrician, highlighted five such vaccines that are crucial for children and are typically found in private medical centres.

Doctor Names Five Key Vaccines

Soon after his post went viral, some users questioned why these vaccines aren’t offered by the government despite their importance. Others asked if boys need them as well.

In the Instagram clip, Dr. Ravi Malik said, “These 5 life-saving vaccines are not available in government hospitals, only in private hospitals, and they are very important for your child. The last one, in particular, is especially important.”

According to the doctor, there are five important vaccines that every child should get for protection against serious illnesses. The influenza vaccine helps safeguard children from flu and swine flu. The chickenpox vaccine protects against the highly contagious infection that causes rashes and fever. The hepatitis A vaccine shields children from jaundice, which usually spreads through contaminated food and water. The HPV vaccine is important as it protects against cervical cancer. Lastly, the typhoid vaccine prevents typhoid fever, a disease that spreads through contaminated food or water.

Dr Ravi Malik added, “Most parents believe that once the government-recommended vaccines are given, their child’s vaccination schedule is complete. But these five vaccines are also very important. You should consult your paediatrician and make sure your children are fully vaccinated.”

Social Media Users Question Access And Cost

Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “If it’s that important, why isn’t the government providing it?”

Another shared, “The price is too high for normal people sir.”

“My daughter is 2 years old and she has all the vaccines which are provided by the government. Can I get those all vaccines now?” a comment read.

One more added, “Why isn’t govt giving? Boys need it too.”

These vaccines are very crucial as they protect against dangerous diseases that, in the past, led to death among infants and young children. By giving these vaccines, parents can safeguard their children from illnesses that were once considered deadly.
