We are talking about Becca Bloom, who has become a star in just a matter of months. The 25-year-old, who made her debut on TikTok earlier this year, has amassed a fan following of millions from across the world. She has garnered a huge popularity on the platform, specifically on #RichTok, where people celebrate the wealthy.
Though she has shared her glamorous lifestyle on Instagram for over five years, her popularity skyrocketed with her TikTok account, which she began in January 2025. Who Is Becca Bloom?
Rebecca Ma goes by the name Becca Bloom on the Internet. She grew up in Atherton, California, which is one of the wealthiest towns in all of the United States. She is the daughter of tech entrepreneurs, Simon Yiming Ma and Heidi Chou, who founded Camelot Information Systems, a Chinese IT and cloud computing company in 2000. In 2010, the company was listed on the New York Stock Exchange before it went private once again in 2014. Becca has called her parents her “inspiration” and has admired how they built a successful business with thousands of employees.
Despite having successful parents, Becca carved her own path. “They’re both incredibly successful entrepreneurs in tech and real estate. That said, I work just as hard to carve out my own path. Honestly, it motivates me even more,” she said in one of her TikTok videos.
While she was studying at Menlo School, she led a robotics team and even created a peer-to-peer tutoring platform called StudyPal. She later sold it. At the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business, she co-founded Hearth Wireless Chargers, a portable charging company. After graduating with a business degree and a minor in law, Rebecca started working in fintech in the Bay Area. At the same time, she also travelled the world with her family and fiance. She attends couture and fashion weeks around the world and is often invited on high jewellery trips. Her everyday stack of jewellery includes pieces from Tiffany, Bulgari, Cartier, and Van Cleef & Arpels.
Her big break came in January 2025, when she started her TikTok account. In less than eight months, she gained 3.8 million followers on TikTok and a combined 5.4 million across her social media platforms. By April this year, Rebecca signed with United Talent Agency (UTA), which also manages creators like Emma Chamberlain and Charli D’Amelio. In July, the 25-year-old influencer featured in TIME’s 100 Best Creators List.
Becca Bloom Is Engaged And Is Soon Getting Married
Besides her content about her luxurious lifestyle, Becca has often shared glimpses of her upcoming nuptials. She is engaged to her longtime boyfriend, David Pownall. He is a Canadian software engineer who works at Google. They reportedly met at a cafe in Palo Alto and have been together ever since then.
Becca, who is getting married within a few days, has given her fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse of her lavish wedding. She is getting married in Villa Balbiano, one of the most opulent properties in Lake Como, Italy, on August 28. She is planning to wear an Oscar de la Renta gown for her special day.
