Disneyland Paris has entered a new phase of expansion with the opening of World of Frozen and the unveiling of its reimagined second park, now named Disney Adventure World. The development marks one of the most significant transformations in the resort’s history, aimed at enhancing immersive storytelling and guest experiences.
At the centre of the expansion is Adventure Way, a newly developed promenade featuring landscaped gardens, entertainment spaces and dining options. The area also includes a family-friendly attraction inspired by the animated film Tangled. The promenade connects to Adventure Bay, a central lake designed to host large-scale entertainment, including a new nighttime show.
Beyond this lies World of Frozen, an immersive themed land recreating the Kingdom of Arendelle. The new attraction is designed to offer visitors an experience based on the globally popular Frozen franchise, integrating storytelling with themed environments and attractions.
The opening also included a special initiative where children from Make-A-Wish and their families were among the first guests to experience the new spaces. This reflects the resort’s continued focus on community engagement and inclusive experiences.
Speaking at the inauguration, Natacha Rafalski, Présidente of Disneyland Paris, said, “With Disney Adventure World, we’re not only unveiling a reimagined second gate at Disneyland Paris; we’re opening the door to a new era. An era where our guests walk straight into the heart of the stories they love.”
Thomas Mazloum, Chairman of Disney Experiences, added, “We continue to expand Disneyland Paris with ambition and purpose. The reimagining of our second gate reflects the very best of what Disney represents: boundless imagination that rings people together.”
Josh D’Amaro, Chief Executive Officer, The Walt Disney Company, said, “From the screen to our parks, cruises, and beyond, its impact continues to grow, and with World of Frozen and Disney Adventure World, we’re giving guests at Disneyland Paris the opportunity to experience that story in entirely new ways.”
The inauguration ceremony featured a live musical performance inspired by Frozen, along with the appearance of character-led experiences supported by advanced technology. The event also marked the milestone of 25,000 wishes granted at Disneyland Paris since 1992.
The expansion is expected to strengthen Disneyland Paris’ position as a major tourism destination in Europe, while supporting visitor growth through new attractions and enhanced guest engagement.
