Navratri 2025 Ghatasthapana Muhurat: Navratri, one of the most celebrated Hindu festivals, marks nine nights of devotion to Goddess Durga. This year, it will be celebrated from September 22 to October 2. The festivities begin with Ghatasthapana, a ritual that invokes the goddess and sets the spiritual tone for the coming days.

Performing Ghatasthapana at the right time is believed to bring blessings, while doing it at the wrong time can invite displeasure.

According to scriptures, the ritual should not be conducted during Amavasya or at night. For devotees, Ghatasthapana is an opportunity to focus on purity, devotion, and the energy of Maa Durga. It involves placing a sacred pot, or Kalash, filled with symbolic materials, and performing prayers in the right direction and time.

This ritual is considered vital to ensure the positive energies of Navratri flow throughout the festival.

This year, the Ghatasthapana Muhurat falls on Monday, September 22. The most auspicious period is from 6:09 AM to 8:06 AM, during the first third of the day, while Pratipada Tithi prevails.

Items placed inside the Kalash include whole rice grains, turmeric, kumkum, Gangajal, pure water, a few coins, durva, betel nut, turmeric lump, and sweet batasha or sugar.

Navratri 2025: Ghatasthapana Aarti Lyrics
