Katrina Kaif’s Kay Beauty was launched in the UK market.

The UK beauty market just got its first taste of Indian innovation. Kay Beauty, the makeup label co-founded by actor Katrina Kaif and Nykaa, has made its international debut at Space NK, one of Britain’s most influential luxury beauty retailers. The launch marks a first for an Indian-founded brand, underscoring the growing global appetite for South Asian beauty voices.

For Katrina Kaif, the milestone is more than a brand expansion; it’s personal. Speaking about this new achievement, she said, “The brand grew from my personal journey, both as an actor and as someone who wanted to build a space where beauty feels approachable rather than intimidating – a space that inspires self-expression and where individuality is embraced. Launching with Space NK marks a significant milestone. It’s an iconic and highly respected beauty destination, and to be the first Indian brand on their shelves makes this moment incredibly meaningful.”

Adwaita Nayar, Co-Founder of Nykaa, ED and CEO, Nykaa Fashion, and Head of Owned Brands, said, “Kay Beauty’s entry into the UK market is a proud moment for us. It represents a modern Indian voice in global beauty, one that is inclusive, confident, and here to make a lasting impact.”

What’s on the Shelf in the UK

The UK launch brings a curated collection of 197 products across lips, eyes, and face. Bestsellers include the Hydra Crème Lipstick, known for its buttery texture; the Hydrating Foundation, already a viral sensation in India; and the versatile Velvet Creme Blush. Kay Beauty’s kajal range is also expected to resonate with British-Asian consumers, offering everything from smudge-proof classics to metallic finishes.

Margaret Mitchell, Chief Commercial Officer at Space NK, said, “The brand’s philosophy, rooted in authenticity, self-expression and expert product design, aligns beautifully with what our customers are looking for. This launch allows us to better serve an incredibly important and growing community in the UK, while offering something genuinely unique and meaningful.”

Kay Beauty’s Rise in India

Since its 2019 launch, Kay Beauty has positioned itself as India’s answer to modern, high-performance makeup. Its formulas – infused with skin-friendly ingredients like chamomile, marula oil, avocado butter, and ceramides – won over consumers who wanted makeup that looked good and felt good.

More than just a product launch, Kay Beauty’s arrival at Space NK represents a cultural shift. It highlights the rise of South Asian influence in global beauty conversations and reflects a growing need for brands that embrace inclusivity and heritage while delivering modern performance. For Katrina Kaif, it’s a full-circle moment: one where her personal beauty philosophy now has the power to inspire on an international stage.
