This festive season, add a wholesome twist to your table with five special recipes featuring Quaker Oats. Each dish is crafted to delight the senses,  crispy snacks, nostalgic sweets, and refreshing sips that are perfect for gatherings with family and friends. Celebrate the spirit of the season with food that brings taste, health, and happiness together.

Crushed Chicken Cutlet (Serves 4)

Ingredients:

Chicken (minced)

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 green chilies, finely chopped

1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

Coriander leaves, finely chopped

½ tsp black pepper powder

½ tsp garam masala powder

½ tsp roasted cumin powder

Salt, to taste

1 tsp lemon juice

2 eggs

Breadcrumbs (if needed, for binding)

Crushed Quaker Oats (for coating)

Refined oil (for frying)

Preparation:

a) Mix chicken with onion, chilies, ginger-garlic, coriander, spices, lemon juice, and salt.

b) Add 1 beaten egg and breadcrumbs if required; mix well.

c) Shape into oval cutlets and refrigerate for 20–30 minutes.

d) Dip in beaten egg, coat evenly with crushed Quaker Oats.

e) Shallow fry on medium flame till golden brown. Serve hot with kasundi or tomato ketchup.

Bengali Egg Devil (Dimer Devil)

Ingredients:

4 boiled eggs, halved

2 medium potatoes, boiled & mashed

1 onion, finely chopped

2 green chilies, finely chopped

1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

¼ tsp turmeric powder

½ tsp red chili powder

½ tsp garam masala powder

½ tsp roasted cumin powder

2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

2 tbsp maida (for slurry)

1 egg, beaten

Crushed Quaker Oats (for coating)

Salt, to taste

Oil (for deep frying)

Preparation:

a) Sauté onion and chilies till golden, add ginger-garlic and cook briefly.

b) Add mashed potato, turmeric, chili powder, and salt; mix till dry. Stir in garam masala and cumin powder.

c) Wrap mixture around each egg half, shaping into oval cutlets.

d) Dip in flour slurry, roll in crushed Quaker Oats (double coat for extra crispness).

e) Deep fry on medium flame till golden. Serve with kasundi or ketchup.

Bengali-Style Quaker Oats Payesh (Serves 4)

Ingredients:

1 litre full cream milk

½ cup Quaker Oats, lightly roasted

4 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)

1 bay leaf

2 green cardamoms, lightly crushed

1 tbsp raisins

1 tbsp cashews

1 tsp ghee

Dry fruits, for garnish

Preparation:

a) Boil milk with bay leaf and cardamom, simmer till slightly thickened.

b) Add roasted Quaker Oats and cook for 5–6 minutes, stirring continuously.

c) Mix in sugar and cook till dissolved.

d) Add raisins and cashews, finish with ghee.

e) Garnish with dry fruits and serve warm.

Bengali-Style Pathisapta (Serves 4)

Ingredients:

½ cup maida

¼ cup suji

¼ cup rice flour

¼ cup roasted Quaker Oats, ground

1½ cups milk (adjust as needed)

3 tbsp sugar

Pinch of salt

½ cup khoya/mawa

2 tbsp roasted Quaker Oats

½ tsp cardamom powder

Oil, for greasing

Preparation:

a) Cook khoya with roasted Quaker Oats and cardamom till dry, set aside.

b) Whisk maida, suji, rice flour, Quaker Oats, milk, sugar, and salt into a thin batter. Rest 15–20 minutes.

c) Heat a greased tawa, spread batter like a crêpe.

d) Place filling in the centre, roll into a pathisapta.

e) Serve warm.

Oats Smoothie (Serves 2)

Ingredients:

3 tbsp roasted Quaker Oats

1 banana

1 cup milk

½ cup yogurt (optional)

1–2 tsp honey

3–4 ice cubes

Crushed nuts, for garnish

Preparation:

a) Blend Quaker Oats, banana, milk, yogurt, and honey till smooth.

b) Add ice cubes and blend again for frothiness.

c) Pour into glasses and garnish with crushed nuts or a sprinkle of Quaker Oats.
