Nike Atelier is backing youth—and premium. In the run-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Nike’s premium fashion division, Nike Atelier, is unveiling a wardrobe tailored for French Désiré Doué. At just 21, the Paris Saint-Germain forward becomes the third athlete to be dressed by Nike Atelier, following Maria Sharapova and Jannik Sinner.

However, unlike the two previous capsule collections, Doué’s collection will be available from July in a tightly curated selection of stores.
The “Nike Atelier Merc Premium” collection features an anthracite jacket with a shirt-style collar, the Nike logo emblazoned across the back, and fitted cuffs, paired with matching pleated grey shorts.

The centrepiece of the look is a pair of Mercurial x Pegasus Premium boots, whose upper is taken from the original 1998 Mercurial. A nod to fate, twenty-eight years on from Les Bleus’ first World Cup title? Shot through with a semi-transparent electric blue band, the pair brings a touch of vitality that echoes Désiré Doué’s explosiveness.

“As French people, we’re known for our ‘French elegance’. But some athletes also inspire me—players who have their own personal style and know how to incorporate unique pieces into their everyday outfits,” says the player, whose national team has recently made headlines for its cutting-edge luxury bags, from Hermès’ Kelly Maxi Grizzly Bag to Chanel’s XXL Flag Bag in collaboration with Pharrell Williams.
