“Fendi is pleased to announce that the first Fendi Couture Fall/Winter 2026–2027 by Maria Grazia Chiuri will take place in Rome the evening of Thursday, 9th July 2026,” the house said in a terse statement. “The show venue will be revealed at a later date,” the Rome-based brand, a key label in the LVMH luxury empire, added.

Chiuri, who was also born in Rome, debuted her career at Fendi with a runway show during Milan Fashion Week in February. Though the couture show for Fendi also marks double return to the Eternal City for Maria Grazia. Since Chiuri also staged her final show for the house of Dior in the historic Villa Albani in May 2025.

Fendi has shown couture- rather than luxury ready-to-wear- intermittently over the past decade.

Beginning in July 2015 with a legendary “haute fourrure” show by Karl Lagerfeld, timed to celebrate the German designer’s 50th anniversary at the house. The maison then held couture shows occasionally after Lagerfeld’s death in 2019.

The next official haute couture season will take place from July 6 to 9 in Paris.
