Katy Perry used her latest concert performance to send a lighthearted but unmistakable message about her past relationships. While headlining Spain’s O Son do Camiño music festival in Santiago de Compostela on Thursday, June 18, the 41-year-old singer incorporated a creative visual gag into her set that poked fun at several of her well-documented exes.During her performance of the 2020 hit ‘Never Really Over,’ Perry interacted with a large smartphone display positioned toward the back of the stage, according to videos circulating on social media. The interactive bit served as a humorous commentary on her romantic history while simultaneously celebrating her current relationship with Justin Trudeau.

As Perry sang through the track, the phone’s screen showed incoming calls from various contacts that audiences quickly recognised as references to her previous partners. The first call came from Diplo, the producer and DJ with whom Perry had a brief romantic connection in 2014. Upon seeing his name, Perry appeared flustered, repeatedly hitting the “decline” button with an exaggerated nervous expression before covering her eyes and walking away from the display.The bit continued moments later when another incoming call arrived from a contact labelled “JM,” seemingly referring to musician John Mayer, with whom Perry had an on-and-off relationship between 2012 and 2015. Perry glanced back at the incoming call but ultimately chose to ignore it, returning to centre stage to continue singing.
Orlando Bloom vs Justin Trudeau’s call
The routine reached its most recent chapter when a call came in from “OB,” an apparent reference to Orlando Bloom, Perry’s most recent ex-partner. The pair ended their nine-year relationship and broke off their engagement in June 2025. As with the previous calls, Perry declined to answer.However, the mood shifted when a new incoming call appeared from a contact identified as “JPJT”—the singer’s playful way of referring to the former Canadian Prime Minister. Unlike her swift rejections of the earlier calls, Perry walked back to the phone display to accept the incoming call, visibly brightening as she acknowledged the reference to her current partner.
