A major road accident on the Yamuna Expressway in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura claimed the lives of four people and left 19 others injured after a speeding bus collided with a truck near Milestone 112. The impact of the crash was so severe that the bus was extensively damaged, trapping several passengers inside. Local police, expressway rescue teams, eight Police Response Vehicles (PRBs), and around 12 ambulances rushed to the spot immediately after receiving information about the accident. A green corridor was created to ensure the injured were transported quickly to nearby hospitals for treatment. Authorities confirmed that four passengers died, while 19 injured victims are undergoing medical care. Officials said none of the injured are currently in extremely critical condition. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination, and an investigation into the accident is underway. Preliminary findings indicate that the crash occurred due to the negligence of the bus driver. The bus was travelling from Lucknow to Delhi when the fatal collision took place.
