The five-state election results have delivered a major political message, with BJP strengthening its position as a dominant national force. The party retained power in Assam and secured a major victory in West Bengal, where it ended TMC’s long-standing dominance and significantly increased its vote share from 10% to 46% over successive elections. In Puducherry, BJP-led alliances also registered a strong win. In West Bengal, the Bhabanipur seat became a major highlight, where Suvendu Adhikari defeated Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee by over 15,000 votes, marking a historic political upset. The result is being projected by BJP leaders as a “fear-free and transformed Bengal” under their influence. Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu saw a surprising rise of TVK led by actor Vijay, which emerged as the largest party, while Kerala witnessed a Congress comeback. Overall, the results reflect shifting political dynamics across India, with BJP consolidating its strength despite regional challenges.
