Bihar is set for a major political event on May 7, when the state cabinet expansion and swearing-in ceremony will be held at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan. According to reports, preparations are underway for a grand ceremony, raising speculation about the possible presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The expansion comes after the formation of a new government led by CM Samrat Chaudhary, with earlier a small cabinet including two Deputy Chief Ministers from JD(U). The upcoming reshuffle is expected to significantly expand the cabinet with around 27 ministers. As per the proposed formula, BJP and JD(U) are likely to share equal representation, with additional ministerial posts allocated to alliance partners. The event is being seen as a major political show of strength for the NDA in Bihar.
