According to the latest reports, one attendee fell from a high-rise section of the venue, the upper-tier area of the arena.

Concertgoer passes away after falling from upper tier at Goose concert

The New York Post reported that the concertgoer, identified as 51-year-old Paul Kueker, passed away after falling from the upper tier area at Madison Square Garden. He had been attending the indie rock band’s performance at the time. Authorities are currently investigating the matter to determine what really happened.The NYPD was called to the scene for the emergency on Saturday night while the concert was ongoing. A statement from Entertainment Weekly read, “At approximately 9:51 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call for an injured male inside 4 Penn Plaza. Upon arrival, officers observed a 51-year-old male unconscious and unresponsive with injuries indicative of falling from an elevated position.” He was rushed to Bellevue Hospital nearby; however, the doctors pronounced him deceased. Kueker was with his wife at the time of the incident.Speaking to the New York Post, his mother, Patricia Finelli, shared that “He was the greatest kid in the whole wide world. He’d give you the shirt off his back.”He was attending the concert from the Chase Bridge, an elevated seating section that was added to Madison Square Garden in 2013.

One posted, “I cannot believe this happened…poor guy.” Another person posted, “We saw the entire thing, and it actually impacted us physically.”Many people recounted the event, stating there was a lot of confusion and panic about what had exactly happened.

Following the tragedy, Goose took to their social media account to share a tribute for the fan and address the ongoing situation. Their social media statement read, “We are deeply saddened and heartbroken to learn of the tragic event that occurred at tonight’s show. We extend our deepest sympathy to everyone affected.
