Rajya Sabha News: Opposition Pushes for Amit Shah Statement Amid Heated House Debate

The Chair also highlighted the importance of giving newly elected members an opportunity to speak, urging parties to encourage their first-time MPs to participate in debates. Parliamentary Affairs Minister was requested to convey the sentiments expressed by the Opposition regarding the presence of the Home Minister in the House. The Chair clarified that while members have the right to raise concerns and make requests, the functioning of the House must continue according to established procedures. Despite repeated appeals, Opposition members continued their protest, leading to a charged atmosphere inside the Rajya Sabha. The House then moved ahead with listed business, including questions and discussions related to government departments. During the proceedings, BJP member Satnam Singh Sandhu raised a question and praised the government’s focus on improving judicial capacity and strengthening access to justice. He highlighted the importance of timely justice for ease of living and ease of doing business.
