International Yoga Day celebrations witnessed massive enthusiasm in Vijayawada, where participants gathered to learn and practice yoga under the guidance of yoga guru Swami Ramdev. Students, women, senior citizens, and yoga enthusiasts shared their experiences, highlighting the health benefits of regular yoga practice. Ramdev demonstrated beginner-friendly asanas such as Tadasana (Palm Tree Pose) and Vrikshasana (Tree Pose), emphasizing their role in improving balance, concentration, flexibility, posture, and overall well-being. Yoga experts advised that children should begin with simple asanas and pranayama to improve focus and physical fitness. Participants were encouraged to gradually progress rather than attempting advanced poses from the start. The event also showcased the growing popularity of yoga across age groups. The celebrations were marked by a festive atmosphere, with thousands of people participating in the stadium. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was expected to attend as the chief guest. Similar Yoga Day events were held across India, including programs attended by Yogi Adityanath in Jhansi, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi was scheduled to participate in a major event in Kolkata, highlighting yoga’s global and national significance.
