Ghaziabad Crime: Police Tighten Grip After Surya Murder, Illegal Madrasas Face Action

A major law enforcement drive has been launched in Ghaziabad’s Khoda area following the high-profile Surya murder case, with authorities intensifying action against criminals and unauthorized establishments. The police have placed the region on high alert and initiated a comprehensive crackdown aimed at restoring law and order.According to officials, more than 1,600 individuals with criminal records have been identified across the area. Search operations and verification drives are being conducted to monitor their activities and ensure compliance with legal requirements. Several offenders were reportedly called to local police stations and warned against engaging in unlawful activities. As part of the ongoing operation, authorities are also preparing action against unauthorized religious and educational establishments. Two to three madrasas operating without required approvals or allegedly violating land-use regulations are expected to face sealing action after administrative inspections. Revenue department teams have been conducting surveys and document verification over the past several days.Security arrangements have been significantly strengthened across Khoda. Additional police personnel, paramilitary forces, dog squads, and technical surveillance teams have been deployed in sensitive locations. Senior officials, including top police officers, are closely monitoring the situation and reviewing enforcement measures on the ground. The intensified operation comes in the aftermath of the Surya murder case, which triggered concerns over criminal activities in the region. Authorities say the objective is to dismantle illegal networks, verify unauthorized constructions, and create a deterrent against future crimes. Officials have emphasized that the drive is focused on maintaining public safety and ensuring strict compliance with the law. Further action is expected as investigations and verification exercises continue across the area. The administration has indicated that similar enforcement measures may be extended to other sensitive locations if required.
