Breaking: Khoda Under Scanner as Police Launch Massive Anti-Crime Drive

A large-scale anti-crime operation is underway in Ghaziabad’s Khoda area following the high-profile Surya murder case, with authorities launching an intensive verification and enforcement campaign across the locality. The administration has described the exercise as a comprehensive effort to curb criminal activities and strengthen public safety. Officials stated that more than 1,600 identified offenders, history-sheeters, and individuals with criminal backgrounds have been brought under scrutiny as part of the ongoing operation. Police teams have been conducting door-to-door checks, tenant verification drives, and background assessments of individuals living in the area. Several identified offenders were called to police stations and warned against future involvement in criminal activities. The operation, termed a “Clean Sweep” campaign by local authorities, is being supported by heavy police deployment, paramilitary personnel, drone surveillance, dog squads, and specialized monitoring teams. Security forces have intensified patrols in sensitive pockets of Khoda, a densely populated locality that has frequently remained under the spotlight due to law-and-order concerns. During the ongoing inspections, authorities also identified three allegedly unauthorized madrasas that were found to be operating without required registrations and approvals. Notices have reportedly been issued, and legal proceedings for sealing the establishments have been initiated in accordance with administrative and statutory procedures. Senior district officials emphasized that any action involving demolition or sealing would follow due legal process and verification. The administration has maintained that the drive is aimed at ensuring compliance with regulations while taking strict action against illegal activities. The crackdown follows heightened concerns after the Surya murder case and reflects a broader strategy to monitor criminal networks, verify suspicious activities, and improve security in the region. Authorities have indicated that enforcement measures will continue in the coming days as investigations and verification exercises progress.
