Delhi Chief Minister highlighted the government’s focus on environmental development and said that coordinated efforts between different departments lead to faster growth and visible results. She stated that Delhi has achieved its highest-ever green cover according to the Forest Survey of India report. The government’s continuous initiatives after coming to power have resulted in a 25% increase in green cover, and efforts will continue to expand it further. She also mentioned that the current financial year’s budget was presented as a “Green Budget,” with 22% of the total allocation dedicated to environmental initiatives. The Chief Minister said that work is being carried out throughout the year to improve Delhi’s environment and create a greener city. She praised the Union Home Minister, describing him as a strong and determined leader, while also highlighting his exceptional love and commitment towards nature. She said his environmental concerns and efforts have been clearly visible during the past year of governance.
