Bulldozer Action Underway On Illegal Mosque In Sambhal, Heavy Police Deployed

A large-scale government operation is underway in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, against an illegally constructed mosque built on the bed of a pond in Rai village, Asmoli area. The mosque, reportedly constructed 10 years ago without legal permission, is now facing demolition following verification of the land as government property. Authorities had previously issued a 30-day notice to the local residents and stakeholders before initiating the action. The operation has seen extensive deployment of security forces, including PAC personnel and police from multiple stations. Senior officials, including the SP and DM of the district, are present at the site to ensure that the demolition proceeds smoothly and without disruption. Barricades and strategic deployments are in place to maintain law and order. Residents have been advised to stay indoors during the operation, and local elders were informed in advance about the procedure. This action is part of a larger district-wide campaign to remove all unauthorized constructions, regardless of their size or type. Authorities have emphasized that similar operations will continue wherever illegal structures are identified. The current bulldozer action demonstrates the administration’s firm stance on illegal construction, with an emphasis on public safety, smooth execution, and compliance with legal procedures.
