The political battle between the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the BJP has intensified over the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) ongoing action in West Bengal. Both parties are engaged in sharp allegations and counter-allegations, not only politically but also through aggressive social media poster wars. TMC has accused the BJP of misusing central agencies and framing laws for political gain, while the BJP has hit back, claiming that TMC’s alleged corruption and loot will soon be exposed. Meanwhile, the legal tussle has deepened as the ED may approach the Supreme Court against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Hearing in the Kolkata High Court could not take place due to chaos and disruptions, and the next hearing is scheduled for January 14. ED has alleged obstruction during raids, further escalating tensions.
