The controversy surrounding alleged remarks about Lord Krishna by Maulana Jargis Ansari has intensified, with Uttar Pradesh Police launching raids to trace his whereabouts. Ansari, a resident of Etawah, has reportedly been absconding since a video of his alleged controversial statement went viral. An FIR has been registered against him in Lucknow, and police teams have been formed to locate and arrest him. According to officials, raids were conducted at his residence in Etawah, but he was not found there. Apart from the Lucknow case, police have received around 95 complaints from multiple districts across Uttar Pradesh regarding the alleged remarks. Amid the growing controversy, Ansari has reportedly cancelled several of his upcoming religious sermons. The issue has also sparked political debate ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, with opposition parties questioning the delay in his arrest. Police maintain that efforts are underway and claim he will be apprehended soon for questioning.
