A major fire broke out in the Sasaram-Patna passenger train in Sasaram, causing panic among passengers and railway officials. The incident reportedly occurred while the train was standing at the platform. Initial reports suggest that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit inside one of the coaches. Dramatic visuals showed massive flames engulfing the coach as firefighters worked continuously to control the blaze. Fortunately, all passengers were evacuated safely in time, and no casualties have been reported. After intense efforts by the fire brigade, the flames were brought under control. However, the inside of the coach was completely destroyed by the fire. The incident comes just a day after another train fire was reported near Ratlam in the Rajdhani Express traveling from Trivandrum to Hazrat Nizamuddin, where a fire had broken out in an AC coach, creating panic among passengers. In both incidents, timely evacuation helped prevent any loss of life.
