Narendra Modi is currently on a five-nation foreign tour and is visiting Sweden, where he received the country’s highest civilian honor, the “Royal Order of the Polar Star.” This marks the 31st international award received by Prime Minister Modi from foreign nations. The honor is being seen as a major achievement for India’s global diplomacy and growing international influence. During the ceremony, Modi said the award was not just a personal recognition but an honor for 1.4 billion Indians and for everyone who contributed to strengthening India-Sweden relations. He thanked Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and appreciated the strong partnership between the two countries. The award recognizes efforts to deepen cooperation between India and Sweden in areas such as trade, green energy, defense, science, technology, and development. Modi also attended a European industry roundtable conference, where he interacted with CEOs of major companies. In addition, he received a warm welcome from the Indian diaspora in Sweden during his visit.
