A major development has emerged from Prayagraj, where chaos and unrest were reported outside the camp of Swami Avimukteshwaranand. The Swami has filed a police complaint alleging vandalism, sloganeering, and attempts to forcibly enter the camp. According to the complaint, a group of people arrived carrying sticks, rods, and saffron flags, raising provocative slogans such as “I Love Bulldozer Baba” outside the camp premises. Swami Avimukteshwaranand has expressed serious concerns for his personal safety, stating that his life is under threat. Despite CCTV cameras being installed outside the camp, certain individuals continued to gather and raise slogans, further escalating tensions. Following this incident, the rift between the Swami and the local administration has deepened. Firm on his demands, the Swami sat on a protest, during which his health reportedly deteriorated. Even then, he refused to move inside the camp. Despite requests from Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Swami Avimukteshwaranand chose not to perform the Basant Panchami holy dip at the Sangam. While the Deputy Chief Minister attempted to calm the situation through his statements, remarks made by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reportedly added fuel to the controversy. The dispute has now clearly divided the saint community, with some saints supporting Swami Avimukteshwaranand and others opposing him.
