BIG REACTION: Sanjay Nirupam Defends Shinde Camp as Uddhav Sena Faces Internal Turmoil Claims

Amid escalating political turbulence in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam has strongly reacted to the ongoing controversy surrounding the alleged split within the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) faction. Speaking in an exclusive interaction, Nirupam dismissed the widely used term “Operation Tiger,” calling it a media-created narrative while asserting that the real issue lies in what he described as internal unrest within the Uddhav camp. Nirupam alleged that growing dissatisfaction among MPs within the Uddhav Thackeray faction has led to a breakdown of internal trust, suggesting that the leadership is struggling to maintain cohesion. He further claimed that the party is facing a severe crisis of confidence among its parliamentarians, which, according to him, has contributed to the current political realignment. The remarks come at a time when reports continue to circulate about multiple MPs shifting alignment towards the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena faction. Political developments in Delhi have intensified speculation about a possible merger or formal recognition of a breakaway parliamentary group. Nirupam also criticized senior leaders of the Uddhav camp, alleging contradictory public statements and internal confusion within the party ranks. He suggested that the current situation reflects deeper organizational instability rather than external political engineering. Meanwhile, political activity remains concentrated in the national capital, where meetings involving senior leaders, including discussions around parliamentary procedures, are reportedly underway. However, no official confirmation regarding any merger or formal split has been issued by constitutional authorities or party leaderships so far. As the situation evolves, both factions continue to trade accusations, while observers note that the final outcome will depend on procedural decisions within Parliament and formal recognition by the Lok Sabha Secretariat. The political uncertainty continues to keep Maharashtra’s power equations in a state of flux.
