The controversy surrounding the music video of ‘Jugni’, featuring actress Jacqueline Fernandez, has taken a new turn after singer Sonu Thukral filed a police complaint over a viral clip from the song that he claims has been manipulated using AI.

Wardrobe malfunction claims spark backlash

The official music video of ‘Jugni’ was released on July 15, after which several viewers alleged that a scene in the video showed a wardrobe malfunction. Clips from the sequence quickly went viral on social media, drawing widespread criticism, with netizens questioning the makers for retaining the scene in the final cut. While the makers later blurred or removed the disputed portion, the original clip has continued to circulate online.

Sonu Thukral files a police complaint

Sonu Thukral has now stepped in, claiming that the viral clip was doctored using AI and that this AI-generated version is what has been spreading on social media. Sharing a picture of himself at the cyber cell of a police station on Instagram, he wrote, “I have filed a police complaint regarding my song, Jugni. The clip has also been edited using AI, and the AI-generated version of the clip is being circulated further. I will talk about it publicly soon. “He added that he would address the matter in detail soon. So far, neither Jacqueline Fernandez nor the makers of Jugni have issued an official statement regarding the controversy.
