A massive fire broke out in a furniture market in Greater Noida after a suspected short circuit in a plastic furniture shop triggered flames that quickly spread to nearby stores. According to Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar, around 30 to 32 fire tenders were deployed to bring the blaze under control after several hours of intense efforts. The fire started around 10:00 AM and rapidly engulfed multiple shops, with plastic and furniture materials fueling the intensity of the blaze. Eyewitnesses reported that flames reached 20–30 feet high, and heavy smoke made it difficult to stand even 100 meters away from the site. A green corridor was created with the help of police, traffic police, and fire services to ensure smooth movement of emergency vehicles. Although the fire caused massive financial losses worth several lakhs and destroyed multiple shops, authorities confirmed that no casualties or injuries were reported. Cooling operations continued even after the main fire was brought under control, as some shops were still smoldering.
