Amid dating rumors with Raghav Juyal, Shehnaaz Gill says love doesn’t need a perfect ending; urges everyone to live in the present

As the dating rumors between Shehnaaz Gill and Raghav Juyal is ruling the internet now, the former has opened up about her views on love, saying that every relationship does not need to reach a perfect conclusion to be meaningful. While speaking about romance during a recent interaction with IANS, the actress said people should not measure love by whether it is fulfilled. Instead, she believes the present moment deserves more attention than uncertain expectations about the future.Shehnaaz encouraged people to embrace the present rather than constantly worrying about what lies ahead. Her comments come as her latest film ‘Ishqnama’ continues its theatrical run.

Shehnaaz Gill says love is incomplete, whether it is fulfilled or not

When asked whether some love stories are remembered more than they are completed, Shehnaaz shared her philosophy on relationships and happiness. She said, “Love is incomplete, whether it is fulfilled or not. It shouldn’t matter. I think we should live in the present. Live in the present.” The actress explained that people often become too focused on the future, which can lead to disappointment and emotional pain. According to her, enjoying the present and remaining loyal to the people around us is far more important. She further added, “People keep looking toward the future, but sometimes that only brings pain. So it’s better to live in the present, live well, and live happily. Live with loyalty. That’s it.”

Shehnaaz Gill speaks about love and political boundaries

During the interaction, Shehnaaz was also asked whether cross-border love stories are increasingly viewed through a political lens instead of being seen as human stories. Responding to the question, she said love itself is an incredibly powerful emotion that naturally attracts attention and creates larger conversations. She shared, “When there is love, political agendas and all these things start forming because love is such a powerful thing. It kills a person while they’re still alive. So, if you want to die, then love.”

‘Ishqnama’ tells a cross-border love story

Shehnaaz’s latest release, ‘Ishqnama’, is inspired by real events and unfolds along the India-Pakistan border during the period between 1981 and 1988. The film follows the journey of Nimma and Nasima, whose relationship is tested by separation, sacrifice and the realities of life on either side of the border. The project has been directed by Arvvindr S. Khaira and is adapted from the book ‘Hind Pak Bordernama’.

Cast, music and theatrical release

Apart from Shehnaaz Gill, the film features Jai and Saurabh Sachdeva in prominent roles. The soundtrack has been composed by B Praak, while the lyrics have been written by Jaani.’Ishqnama’ was released in theatres on July 24, 2026. Meanwhile, dating rumors between Shehnaaz Gill and Raghav Juyal grew recently after a video from ‘Kill’ actor’s birthday celebrations went viral. Responding to it, Raghav told Pinkvilla, “My parents raised me to be a man. If you had been there with me, or any woman, and a group of men had pounced on her, I was brought up to throw a solid punch if needed. That’s how I’ve been raised. I can’t be that detached, urban guy who just stands by. I couldn’t do it. I will protect till my death, my friends, my family, and any woman I’m with. Whether it’s you or any other woman, that’s simply my nature.” Go to Source
