The investigation into the alleged Ayodhya Ram Temple donation theft has intensified, with police seeking court permission to question the accused inside jail. Since the eight accused, including Tinnu Yadav, Avinash Shukla, and Lav Kush, are in judicial custody, investigators have moved the court for approval to interrogate them without seeking police remand. Officials said the questioning is aimed at clarifying specific aspects of the case and confronting the accused with evidence collected during recent searches. Meanwhile, fresh scrutiny has focused on Champat Rai over the handling of the alleged theft. According to claims made in the report, police raided Avinash Shukla’s residence on June 5 and allegedly recovered a bag containing a large amount of cash following information linked to the temple trust. However, despite the recovery, no formal FIR or complaint was reportedly registered at that time. The alleged delay in initiating legal action has raised questions over whether there was an attempt to suppress the matter. The investigation remains ongoing.
