A video of an Indian-origin man strongly resisting a racist attack from a woman in Canada’s Nova Scotia has been going viral. The woman who was driving a car asked the man who was recording the video to go back to his home country. The man rebuffed the woman and said, “Your face says you are a racist person. Your face says it all.””Go back if you don’t like,” the woman said.”Go back where?” the man retorted. “Wherever you came from,” the woman said”Where do you think I came from?” the man said.”Get away from my car,” the woman screamed.”You might be jobless but I have a job,” the man screamed back and called the woman a “f**king piece of sh*t” and a ‘f**king Karen’. Lovepreet Singh, the Indian-origin man, then posted the video on his Instagram and said this happened to him at Kentville, in Nova Scotia, a small town where he works. “And it only took this little to ruin my day. She already made the statement GO BACK TO INDIA before I pulled out my phone and later she changed it to ‘to your mother’,” Lovepreet wrote.”This isn’t a (sic) everyday thing but make sure when it happens to you be vocal and talk back because RACISM has no place and is never welcomed! I hope this video reaches the people of Kentville so that wherever she goes, she is embarrassed because since I have worked in the town, people are definitely not like this!” Lovepreet wrote. As the video went viral, social media users commented that it was evident that Lovepreet was not an illegal or criminal but still he faced such a racist attack.”He is not illegal, he is not criminal, he pays his taxes, he contributes to local community and a law abiding citizen. What in return he gets? a disturbed mental peace? harassment? racism?” one commented. Many peopel came in support of the woman and said it was not clear from the viral video what provoked the woman to attack Lovepreet and some context might be missing.
