Was Brown University professor Rachel M Friedberg the target of shooting? 'Taught at Hebrew University, advised Knesset'

As little information came into the public domain about the person of interest arrested in connection with the Brown University shooting, MAGA commentators speculated that the target was professor Rachel M Friedberg whose class was attacked by the shooter. The professor was not in the class at that time and a teaching assistant was there, according to reports. A Principles of Economics final exam review session was taking place. The investigators have not revealed any details about the shooter, his motive or anything else. Inside reports claimed he was arrested because he used a special type of gun. “Prof Rachel Friedberg, whose class at ⁦@BrownUniversity was targeted last night by a shooter, taught at Hebrew University and advised the Knesset on immigration to Israel, among other credentials. I wonder who the shooter was and what could have possibly motivated him?” one post on X claimed. “The shooting occurred in the classroom of Professor Rachel Friedberg…who is Jewish, part of the Program in Judaic Studies, and whose research focuses on the intersection of economics and Jewish Studies? That seems like it might be incredibly relevant,” another wrote on X. “This was a blatant, targeted attack,” another comment read. “Isn’t it interesting how the only class targeted was that of Prof. Rachel Friedberg’s, who is Jewish, affiliated with Judaic Studies, taught in Israel? Yet, they refuse to release any information about the suspect,” one wrote. Right-wing activist Laura Loomer alleged a coverup going on in the Rhode Island by Democrat officials. “Source tells me the Democrat officials in Rhode Island and woke administrators at Brown are doing all they can to hide the fact that the shooter at Brown University was a Muslim who targeted the classroom of Professor Rachel Friedberg, who taught Judaic Studies in addition to Economics,” Loomer posted. “Source tells me Police and @FBI agents on the ground have also been instructed by Democrat officials on the ground in Rhode Island to not say the words ‘Muslim’ or ‘Islamic terror’,” Loomer said.
