‘Dhurandhar 2 will be even bigger’: Danish agrees with RGV

‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge will be even bigger’: Danish Pandor agrees with Ram Gopal Varma’s prediction

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma recently predicted on social media that the sequel to Dhurandhar — titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge — could turn out to be even bigger than the first film. Reacting to the remark, actor Danish Pandor, who plays Uzair Baloch in the film, said he believes the sequel indeed has the potential to raise the bar further.

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma recently predicted on social media that the sequel to Dhurandhar — titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge — could turn out to be even bigger than the first film. Reacting to the remark, actor Danish Pandor, who plays Uzair Baloch in the film, said he believes the sequel indeed has the potential to raise the bar further.Responding to Varma’s prediction in an interaction with Faridoon Shahryar, Danish said, “I can vouch for that. It has the material to be an even bigger hit. There are so many things happening in the story and it’s written beautifully by Aditya sir.” While he refrained from revealing further details, the actor described Dhurandhar 2 in one word — “Insane.”

‘The 26/11 sequence was emotionally draining’

Danish also spoke about one of the most emotionally intense portions of the film. According to him, the sequence inspired by the 2008 Mumbai attacks was particularly difficult to shoot.Recalling the moment, he said the atmosphere on set turned heavy when the character Major Iqbal turns back and the chants begin. “It was emotionally draining for everyone,” Danish said, adding that the impact deepens when the character played by Ranveer Singh realises the gravity of the situation and that he cannot undo what has happened. Danish explained that hearing the real voice note linked to the attack made the moment even more unsettling. “When you hear the actual conversation between the terrorists and their handlers, you feel terrible. Earlier we had heard about it through journalists, but listening to the real recording makes you much more empathetic,” he said.“As a character I had to play my role, but as Danish the person, I felt terrible,” he added.

‘Reading the script left me in wonder’

The actor also recalled his first reaction after reading the script of Dhurandhar, which is directed by Aditya Dhar. Danish said he was asked to read the script only at the office and was not allowed to take it home.“I went to the office for two days and read it there. I must have read it three or four times. It was a big script but I finished it in one flow because it was so engaging,” he said, adding that working with the film’s cast and director felt like a blessing.

Danish calls Akshaye Khanna ‘a mystery’

Speaking about his co-star Akshaye Khanna, Danish described the actor as someone who carries a certain aura of intrigue.“If Akshaye Khanna were a mood, I would say mystery,” Danish said. “From whatever time I spent with him on the sets, he seemed like a man of few words and someone who is always thinking deeply.”

‘Ranveer Singh is pure love’

Talking about sharing screen space with Ranveer Singh, Danish said most of his scenes were with the actor and described the experience as extremely positive.“Almost 95 percent of my scenes were with him and he really took care of me,” Danish said. “He gives suggestions and inputs and allows other actors to shine. That only happens when someone is confident about their craft.”According to Danish, Ranveer’s supportive nature on set made the filming experience even more memorable. Go to Source
