Sneako walks back anti-Christmas comments in on-stream debate with Nick Fuentes

Sneako walks back anti-Christmas comments in on-stream debate with Nick Fuentes

Sneako has since cleared the air about his recent statements concerning Christmas by conducting an on-air debate with political commentator Nick Fuentes, clarifying that his previous statements were taken out of context with the sole intention of rage baiting. In the recent video that is circulating online, Sneako states that he actually celebrates Christmas and does not care if other people do so with their loved ones. His issue, evidently, is that Christmas is celebrated in the current manner that it is. Sneako states that there is no such evidence in the Bible of Jesus being conceived on the 25th of December, which is why Christmas is basically more of a cultural event for many people than it is a religious celebration. This debate became more problematic for Sneako since he had engaged in previous online drama about matters related to religion, “haram” parties, and Christmas. Pairing that drama with a debate about Fuentes, who is a strong Catholic and nationalist, pushed the debate to reach more people. During the debate, Sneako admitted that his initial stance was actually a plan to stir up the online community. He revealed that his initial harsh language does not actually represent his feelings about Christmas.

Sneako describes what he actually dislikes about Christmas culture

In the course of the debate, Sneako reiterated that what he is referring to as his “beef with Christmas” is more about consumerism and partying culture, as opposed to what Christmas is actually about. He mentioned SantaCon, an event where people gather to party by wearing Santa Claus costumes that flood the streets of major cities, as evidence of Christmas’ shift from religious practices to more about partying and photo opportunities on social media.

Sneako vs Nick Fuentes: Is Christmas a Real Holiday?

Nick Fuentes went on the defensive with his argument for the significance of Christmas as a universally recognized Christian practice that should still be given some weight despite current trends. It is evident that their debate was more so about the degree of religious significance attributed to Christmas rather than the mere presence of Christmas itself. Sneako continually emphasized that he is for celebrating with family members but is skeptical about dedicating December 25th as a purely religious day.Ultimately, Sneako chose to frame the entire situation as a harsh reaction to edited clips. In recognizing that the rage baiting occurred, Sneako could then position himself as trying to shift the dynamic of his statement about Christmas. Though the discussion did not assuage the debate about Christmas being religious or cultural, it is evident that Sneako is trying to separate himself from the perception that he is anti-Christmas related, shifting his message to the celebration of Christmas in current culture. Also Read: Asmongold reacts to Frogan’s emotional Twitch stream about streaming struggles
