Qatar announces official holiday for National Sports Day 2026

Amiri Diwan announces holiday for National Sports Day 2026/Representative Image

The Amiri Diwan announced on Sunday that Tuesday, February 10, 2026, will be observed as an official public holiday on the occasion of Qatar National Sports Day. In its statement, the Amiri Diwan said the holiday falls on 22 Sha’ban 1447 AH, in line with the annual observance of National Sports Day, which is marked every year on the second Tuesday of February. National Sports Day is dedicated to promoting physical activity, healthy lifestyles and community participation across the country, with public and private institutions organising sporting and wellness events nationwide. The day is marked each year with activities aimed at encouraging active and healthy lifestyles.
