- Four Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were inked, covering cooperation in maritime heritage and museums, scientific research and innovation, skills development, agriculture, and trade cooperation between Oman’s Chamber of Commerce and India’s Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
These agreements are not merely symbolic, they form the backbone of a practical roadmap for deeper economic integration, particularly between business communities and emerging sectors. A business dialogue further emphasized lucrative investment opportunities, aligning with Oman’s Vision 2040 and India’s national growth strategiesSignificantly, both countries are also on track to finalize a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), a trade pact expected to boost bilateral commerce, investment and strategic economic alignment across sectors such as energy, logistics, and manufacturing.

In this spirit, His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said hosted a formal dinner at the Al Bustan Palace Hotel in Muscat in honour of Prime Minister Modi and his delegation. The event was attended by senior officials, diplomats, defence leaders and dignitaries, symbolizing the warm personal ties between the leadership of both nations.These ceremonial moments, while ceremonial, matter.
