At least 12 people, including five Indian nationals, were injured in Abu Dhabi on Friday after falling debris landed following the interception of an attack, according to the government media office. The incident took place in the Ajban area, where shrapnel from an Iranian missile interception caused injuries to residents. The Abu Dhabi Media Office said the incident “resulted in minor to moderate injuries sustained by 6 individuals of Nepali nationality and 5 individuals of Indian nationality, and one major injury sustained by an individual of Nepali nationality,” in a post on X.Churches in the UAE also announced they will be closed over Easter Sunday due to orders from the government as the conflict continued. The latest developments follow a warning posted by the Revolutionary Guard on a Guard-affiliated Telegram channel, which declared 18 US tech companies to be “legitimate targets” over their alleged involvement in American and Israeli strikes on Iranian soil.“From now on, for every assassination, an American company will be destroyed,” the post read. The Guard also said attacks would begin at 8.00 pm Tehran time on Wednesday and warned employees at those companies to immediately vacate their workplaces to protect their lives. The growing threat has added to fears over the security of Gulf energy infrastructure and the Strait of Hormuz, through which a fifth of the world’s oil and natural gas transits in peacetime.
