’My brother supports me in everything, though we do fight sometimes’: Vismaya Mohanlal opens up on his bond with brother Pranav

Vismaya Mohanlal, daughter of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal is preparing to make her acting debut with ‘Thudakkam’. Ahead of the film’s release she has been sharing details about her personal journey and the people who have supported her along the way. Apart from acting, Vismaya has explored several creative interests over the years. She has written poetry, practised martial arts and developed a passion for painting.During a recent interaction with Galatta Plus, she spoke about the important role her brother, Pranav Mohanlal, has played in encouraging her to pursue these interests.

Vismaya Mohanlal discuss everything with her brother

Vismaya revealed that although Pranav does not usually offer direct advice, he has always been someone she turns to whenever she needs guidance. She said, “My brother has never really given me advice. But I discuss everything with him. He tells me that this is life, and whatever you choose to do will have consequences. When I told him that I wanted to act in films, he simply said, ‘Go for it and enjoy yourself.'” According to Vismaya, those simple words of encouragement gave her the confidence to move forward with her decision to step into Malayalam cinema.

Pranav Mohanlal encouraged her to publish her poems

Vismaya also shared how her brother played a key role in helping her become an author. She recalled writing poems after finishing school without any plans of publishing them. It was Pranav who encouraged her to think beyond simply writing. She said, “Back when I had finished school, I used to write poems here and there. It was my brother who asked me, ‘Why don’t you turn them into a book?’ That is what motivated me to work on it, and eventually it became a published book.”His encouragement eventually led to the publication of her poetry collection.Vismaya described Pranav as the first person she approaches whenever she needs support or guidance. She said, “He supports me in everything I do. In fact whenever I need guidance or want someone’s opinion, he is the first person I approach. He is a wonderful brother.”‘Thudakkam’ actress also revealed that, like most siblings, they occasionally have disagreements. However, she added that those arguments never last long and are quickly forgotten.

Sibling bond remains strong

Vismaya concluded by speaking about how easily they move past their differences. She said, “We do have our arguments sometimes, but they never last long. After a while, everything goes back to normal, and we’re chilled out again.”Coming to ‘Thudakkam’, Vismaya Mohanlal’s debut film is gearing up for release on August 7. The movie, directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, will also feature Mohanlal in a cameo role. Go to Source
