Controversial internet creator Dalton ChudTheBuilder has finally spoken after his recent arrest in Nashville created heavy discussion across social media. Reports about the incident first started spreading online on May 9, 2026, after clips from his livestream appeared on X. In one short video shared by user @FearedBuck, two police officers were seen confronting the streamer before one officer placed him in handcuffs. According to online discussions, the situation reportedly began after an argument at Bob’s ChopHouse restaurant over an unpaid bill.A day later, on May 10, ChudTheBuilder posted several updates on X explaining his side of the story. He claimed his phones were taken by authorities as evidence, leaving him unable to contact anyone for hours. The streamer also surprised many followers after saying FBI officials and a domestic terrorist detective questioned him during his time in custody. His comments quickly spread across social media, where thousands of users reacted to both the arrest and his explanation. The incident has added another layer of controversy around the streamer, who was already indefinitely banned from Kick on April 29 following earlier online disputes.

Dalton ChudTheBuilder says FBI agents questioned him after restaurant dispute led to arrest

In one of his X posts, ChudTheBuilder described spending nearly 13 hours in custody before returning to his Airbnb. He wrote, “Phones seized as ‘evidence of the crime.’ No way of contacting anyone. Just got back to my Airbnb after 13 hours in custody for leaving a restaurant when I was asked to. Bobs ChopHouse. FBI and domestic terrorist detective interviewed me for about 2 hours before they took me for booking, asking if I was part of some organization. ‘No sir I’m just a dude with a camera.’”The post immediately triggered strong reactions online. Some users criticized the streamer’s behavior, while others questioned how serious the investigation became. X user @HurricaneJones3 wrote, “Guaranteed you caused a scene and disturbed the public peace.” Another user, @Ech0Vex22, commented, “If you’re broke just say so. I’m sure one of your supporters would’ve paid the bill.”Later on May 10, ChudTheBuilder also responded directly to accusations that he left the restaurant without paying after eating his food. Replying to X user @daking0146, he claimed he never fully received his order and did not finish what he had been served. He wrote, “I partially ate the two appetizers I ordered. Never got my meal, and couldn’t enjoy or finish the food I did get. He said on camera, ‘Okay just go then.’ He’s mad I called him short and then told the guests who stopped me for a picture on my way out not to eat there anymore.”As of now, authorities have not publicly shared further details about the investigation.
