Cara “Captain Puffy” has said that Pokimane already knew about serious claims made against Josh “Ellum” before becoming his housemate. The comments came after Captain Puffy shared a six-page Google Doc on December 17, 2025, where she spoke about her past relationship with Ellum and what she says went wrong. Ellum is a Twitch streamer and a creator linked with 100 Thieves. He recently moved in with Pokimane, which led many fans to ask questions online. Soon after, Pokimane posted a TikTok with Ellum. The comments quickly filled with concerns about his past.Pokimane replied in the comments, saying she had already talked to the people involved and would not speak about someone else’s past relationship in public. Now, Captain Puffy says those talks between her and Pokimane happened months earlier, in October 2025, and that Pokimane was already aware of the claims.

Captain Puffy, whose real name is Cara, dated Ellum for about two and a half years, from late 2021 until April 2024. She says the relationship ended on bad terms. In her Google Doc, she accused Ellum of not helping with shared bills, crossing personal boundaries, and cheating. These are allegations and not legal findings.After the TikTok with Ellum went viral, Pokimane responded directly to fans. She wrote:“hi guys – i’ve seen your comments and have talked to the people involved. i take this stuff seriously but won’t be discussing someone else’s past relationship publicly. i appreciate y’all looking out for me…”Later, during a livestream, Captain Puffy explained what those talks were about. She said Pokimane reached out to her after seeing the negative comments. According to Cara, Pokimane asked what really happened between her and Ellum.Captain Puffy said on stream:“[Poki] got a lot of negative comments on the TikTok… she reached out to me, and asked me about the situation and what happened. The reason why I’m saying this, by the way, is not to throw Poki under the bus in any way, shape, or form, but because she also made it publicly known, in her TikTok, that she had spoken to me… She did reach out to me in October and asked me what happened, basically…”Cara also shared more detail about that talk. She said Pokimane told her that Ellum claimed he “didn’t cheat.” Cara said she then sent Pokimane a long message explaining her side and summarizing what later appeared in the Google Doc.She added:“I basically told her everything, and her response was, obviously, essentially, that it was horrible what happened to me, and how he was. Obviously, I don’t know the standing of their friendship…”As of now, Pokimane has not made any new public statement beyond her TikTok comment. Ellum has also not released a detailed public response to the claims in the Google Doc.
