81-year-old Minecraft streamer GrammaCrackers swatted during cancer fundraiser stream

Sue Jacquot, better known online as GrammaCrackers, was reportedly swatted while doing a long Minecraft livestream to help raise money for her grandson’s cancer treatment. The 81-year-old Twitch streamer has been live for more than fifteen days trying to beat Minecraft without ending the stream. Her challenge quickly gained attention online because many viewers were touched by her effort to help her 17-year-old grandson during his difficult health battle.Things became frightening in the early hours of May 19 when police suddenly arrived at her home after someone reportedly made a fake emergency call. According to GrammaCrackers, around five SWAT vehicles, twenty police cars, drones, and several armed officers showed up at her property. Officers entered the home and woke her up while she was sleeping. Even though the situation could have been very dangerous, GrammaCrackers later surprised viewers by saying she actually thought the experience was “kinda fun.”

GrammaCrackers talked about the incident in a video uploaded to her YouTube channel. She explained that she was deeply asleep when officers entered her home. While remembering the moment, she joked about meeting a “pretty policewoman” and said everyone treated her kindly during the situation. She also shared that her family hugged her tightly after everything happened, which made her emotional. According to GrammaCrackers, all the attention from her children and grandchildren made her feel loved during the scary moment. She even said she enjoyed riding in the police car afterward.The Twitch streamer first started making online content in October 2025. While Minecraft became her most popular game, she also played Rocket League, Roblox, and Fortnite. Last month, she even celebrated getting her first Fortnite Victory Royale. Still, Minecraft remained the favorite game among her loyal viewers, which is why many people tuned in for her nonstop challenge stream.Online users quickly reacted to the swatting incident with anger and concern. Many people pointed out how upsetting it was that someone targeted an elderly woman who was simply trying to raise money for her grandson’s medical treatment. Others hoped the extra attention from the news would help bring more viewers and donations to her fundraiser.Even after the frightening experience, GrammaCrackers did not stop her Minecraft challenge. Instead, the 81-year-old streamer continued pushing forward, showing viewers that she was not ready to give up anytime soon.
