NEW DELHI: PM Narendra Modi paid heartfelt tributes to three towering figures of Indian culture – Lata Mangeshkar, Zubeen Garg and SL Bhyrappa.Remembering his special bond with “Lata Didi” on her birth anniversary, Modi recalled how she unfailingly sent him a Rakhi every year. “Her songs embody everything that stirs human emotions. Anyone who loves Indian music cannot help but be moved,” he said, adding that her patriotic songs continue to inspire the nation. Modi also paid homage to Kannada literary giant Bhyrappa, who passed away on Sept 24, hailing his novels as a cornerstone of modern Indian literature. TNN
