New J&K houses in Delhi’s Dwarka, Navi Mumbai planned

SRINAGAR: Jammu & Kashmir govt is planning to establish new J&K Houses in Delhi’s Dwarka and Navi Mumbai’s Kharghar, besides expanding and modernizing the existing properties of the UT across the country.Chief minister Omar Abdullah held a meeting in this regard with resident commission officials in Delhi on Wednesday. “Ensure the new infrastructure and restructuring of the existing properties reflect the UT’s rich cultural heritage and identity, blended with modern facilities,” he told officials.Omar also asked them to seek from Punjab govt a plot for a JK House in Amritsar.The CM instructed officials to study similar govt properties established by other states and UTs across the country so that best practices in infrastructure development, architecture and service delivery can be incorporated into the upcoming J&K facilities.
