Cabinet approves seven major projects worth Rs 2.19 lakh crore

The Union Cabinet approved seven major decisions covering infrastructure, semiconductor manufacturing, mobile phone production, fertiliser and railway projects, with a combined outlay of Rs 2,19,353 crore. The package includes the Semicon 2.0 Mission, the Mobile Phone Manufacturing Scheme and the National Investment Policy for Urea-2026. The Cabinet also cleared major infrastructure projects in Varanasi, including new road corridors and approved railway expansion works in Odisha and Jharkhand. US launches fresh strikes on Iran, targets military sites near Strait of Hormuz
