Volkswagen India on Wednesday expanded its retail footprint in Maharashtra with the inauguration of a new dealership and service touchpoint in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, taking its network in the state to 17 sales locations and 16 service outlets.

The new facility comprises a standalone showroom and a dedicated service and spares centre nearby, and is staffed by 40 professionals. The showroom will display the Taigun, Tayron R-Line, the newly launched Tayron Life and the Virtus sedan.

Volkswagen said the Virtus remains its best-selling model in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, accounting for nearly 65 per cent of the brand’s sales in the city. To mark the inauguration, the company also completed a single-day delivery of 10 vehicles, taking its cumulative deliveries in the market to 3,643 units. The first 50 customers will receive a complimentary one-year Service Value Package.

“Maharashtra continues to be a strategically important market for Volkswagen India, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar holds special significance for us as the manufacturing base for the Tayron R-Line and Tayron Life,” said Nitin Kohli, Brand Director, Volkswagen India.

The company said the network expansion is aimed at improving customer accessibility and strengthening its presence in high-potential markets while enhancing the ownership experience.
