When will 'Lag Jaa Gale' release? New update on Tiger Shroff, Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya starrer - Know all about it

Ever since ‘Lag Jaa Gale’ was announced, the film has remained one of the most talked-about projects in Dharma Productions’ slate. Bringing together Tiger Shroff, Janhvi Kapoor, and Lakshya for the first time, the action-packed entertainer has generated considerable curiosity among fans. Now, a fresh update regarding the film’s release timeline has surfaced online, giving audiences an idea of when they might get to see the project on the big screen.

Taran Adarsh shares release date details

Industry analyst Taran Adarsh recently took to social media to reveal that ‘Lag Jaa Gale’ is reportedly targeting a Summer 2027 release. According to his post, the Raj Mehta directorial is expected to arrive in cinemas on May 14, 2027.Sharing the update, he wrote, “TIGER SHROFF – JANHVI KAPOOR – LAKSHYA: ‘LAG JA GALE’ RELEASE DATE LOCKED… Dharma Productions, the producers of #LagJaGale, have finalised a Summer 2027 release for the film: 14 May 2027. #TigerShroff, #JanhviKapoor, and #Lakshya star in this intense action entertainer, directed by Raj Mehta.”While the makers have not issued an official announcement regarding the release date, the update has already sparked excitement among moviegoers.

All about ‘Lag Jaa Gale’

Reports suggest that ‘Lag Jaa Gale’ revolves around a revenge-driven narrative featuring Tiger Shroff and Lakshya in pivotal roles. The conflict between their characters is expected to form the backbone of the story, with several large-scale action sequences planned around their rivalry.Janhvi Kapoor is said to play a key role in the drama, with her character adding an emotional layer to the plot. The story reportedly unfolds around a love triangle that intertwines with the film’s action-heavy narrative.

Delay linked to Lakshya’s transformation

Earlier reports claimed that the film’s production schedule underwent a revision due to Lakshya’s other professional commitments and his preparation for the role. The actor, who reportedly sports a softer and more romantic appearance in ‘Chand Mera Dil’, is said to be undergoing a significant makeover for ‘Lag Jaa Gale’. Since the character demands a rugged and intense look, the production team allegedly pushed the shoot schedule to allow him enough time for the transformation.

From Karan Johar’s Vision to Raj Mehta’s Direction

Interestingly, ‘Lag Jaa Gale’ has been in development for several years. The project was originally unveiled in 2022 during Karan Johar’s 50th birthday celebrations and was initially expected to be directed by the filmmaker himself. However, Johar later stepped away from directing the film and continued his association as a producer. The directorial responsibilities were subsequently handed over to Raj Mehta, known for films such as ‘JugJugg Jeeyo’ and ‘Good Newwz’.

Tiger Shroff and Janhvi Kapoor’s recent projects

Tiger Shroff was last seen in ‘Baaghi 4’, where he reprised his popular character Ronny in an action-packed story involving crime, mystery, and revenge. The film also featured Sanjay Dutt, Shreyas Talpade, Harnaaz Sandhu, Sonam Bajwa, and Saurabh Sachdeva.Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor has been making headlines for ‘Peddi’, co-starring Ram Charan. Despite online discussions surrounding certain aspects of her portrayal, the film has continued to perform strongly at the box office. The sports drama also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, and Boman Irani in important roles. With a star-studded cast, a revenge-fuelled storyline, and reports of a Summer 2027 release, ‘Lag Jaa Gale’ is steadily shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Bollywood releases on the horizon.
