The New York native took the court at Madison Square Garden to perform for her hometown team during a crucial playoff matchup. With dancers, choreography and her commanding stage presence, the rapper created a memorable moment for fans in attendance at the arena.According to Billboard, Cardi B performed at halftime during Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden. The rapper hit the court performing ‘Bodega Baddie’ from her most recent album, September’s ‘Am I the Drama?’ , surrounded by dancers in orange Knicks jersey dresses.

Cardi B’s halftime performance highlights her biggest hits

As she made her way to centre court, fans inside the arena got a full look at Cardi’s floor-length hair blowing in the breeze and her low-cut grey bodysuit. Once she posted up on the stage, Cardi performed the hit that puts her on the mainstream map: her first chart-topper ‘Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)’, a three-week number one in 2017. The performance lasted over three minutes and drew reactions from the crowd assembled for the pivotal game.

Once she wrapped up her set, Cardi settled into courtside seats underneath the basket with her 4-year-old son Wave for the second half. In one of a series of social media posts from her seat, Cardi pans her camera over to the adjacent Spurs bench and quips about being seated near the opposing team’s bench.Broadway star Avery Wilson performed the national anthem before the game began. Wilson becomes something of a lucky charm for the Knicks, performing the national anthem for the majority of the team’s 2026 postseason run. The New York Knicks lead the series 2-0 after winning both of the first two games in San Antonio.
