When Lakshay Lalwani left his Rs. 25000 per day TV job to be a movie actor: 'My father told me..'

Actor Lakshya Lalwani made a bold career move, leaving behind a successful television career and a daily income of up to Rs 25,000 per day for the world of films. Known for his roles in TV hits like ‘Porus’, the actor chose passion over a steady paycheck. He chose to chase his dream of becoming a film actor. His story is one of determination, courage, and faith in one’s passion, reflecting the bold choices needed to grow in a competitive industry.

Lakshya Lalwani on leaving a secure television career

In 2024, during a candid conversation with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, Lalwani opened up about his decision. He was earning between Rs 15,000 and Rs 25,000 per day at the peak of his TV fame but felt a strong pull toward cinema. He recalled a conversation with his father, Romesh Lalwani, who offered a practical yet supportive perspective. “My father told me to take the offer, as the money I was earning per day was equivalent to his month’s income,” the actor shared. He also admitted that he felt fatigued after his show ‘Porus’ ended, which further pushed him to explore new avenues.

From television star to film debut

After stepping away from television, Lakshya made his film debut with ‘Kill’, an intense action thriller that showcased his raw talent and screen presence. The film earned him praise for his commitment and performance, proving he could hold his own in the competitive world of cinema. He followed it up with Aryan Khan’s ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’ where he played a gritty and layered role. The series allowed him to explore darker emotions and show audiences a new side of his artistry. It proved his ability to adapt to different formats and roles.

Exciting new projects

As per the latest reports, Lakshya Lalwani is now gearing up for an exciting new chapter. He is set to star opposite Rasha Thadani in an upcoming action-romance that combines thrilling stunts with an emotional love story. The project has already sparked anticipation among fans.
