Deepika Padukone once shared insights into her decision to keep her daughter Dua Padukone Singh away from the public eye. The actress revealed that she and husband Ranveer Singh are prioritizing privacy and a grounded upbringing for their little girl, choosing not to share any photos or details of her life on social media anytime soon.

Blueprint for a balanced upbringing

In an interview with Marie Claire earlier this year, Deepika shared her plans for raising Dua, explaining how she intends to protect her from the pressures that often come with celebrity parentage. She revealed that she has already drafted a blueprint of experiences to guide her daughter’s upbringing. The actress also spoke about the deliberate choice she and husband Ranveer Singh have made to protect their daughter’s privacy. Known for keeping her personal life private, Deepika revealed that they do not plan to share any photos of their baby girl anytime soon.

Lessons from her own childhood

Reflecting on her own upbringing, she shared that she and her siblings were never weighed down by their parents’ fame or expectations. She recalled that her father, despite being a professional badminton player and a celebrity, was first and foremost a father to them. Deepika explained that they only realized his celebrity status much later in life, when people began asking for autographs.

Preserving Dua’s innocence

Emphasizing the delicate balance they aim to maintain, Deepika highlighted the importance of preserving Dua’s innocence amid the spotlight of her parents’ high-profile careers. She added, with a touch of caution, that she wasn’t sure how much Ranveer would be comfortable with her sharing. The actress also reflected on how parenthood has changed their lives. She shared that every few days, as they watch their daughter sleeping, she and Ranveer look at each other in awe, unable to believe the joy they are experiencing.
