Welcome To The Jungle BO collection day 23: Akshay starrer sees growth on weekend

'Welcome To The Jungle' box office collection day 23: Akshay Kumar starrer sees growth on weekend amid 'The Odyssey' buzz; earns Rs 38 lakh

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ earned Rs 38 lakh on Day 23, with total India net collections at Rs 132.43 crore. Its momentum slowed as Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’ released, grossing Rs 20.76 crore on day one. Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film boasts a massive ensemble cast led by Akshay Kumar.

Akshay Kumar’s multi-starrer comedy ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ saw a slight rise in its Saturday earnings compared to Friday at the Indian box office. The film, now in its fourth week in theatres, saw a steep drop in collections on Friday, but fortunately, it picked up some business over the weekend. This coincided with the release of Christopher Nolan’s much-awaited epic ‘The Odyssey’, which emerged as the new favourite among Indian moviegoers.

‘Welcome To The Jungle’ total collection so far

According to Sacnilk, ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ collected around Rs 38 lakh net on its 23rd day, playing across roughly 719 shows nationwide. With this addition, the film’s total net collection in India has reached an estimated Rs 132.43 crore, while its gross earnings stand at approximately Rs 157.34 crore.

‘Welcome to The Jungle’ week-wise collection trend

The film opened on a strong note, earning close to Rs 93 crore in its first week alone. But that early momentum slowed in the following weeks. According to the report, second-week collections took a big hit, falling to around Rs 31.90 crore, while the third week saw earnings slip further into single digits at just Rs 6.80 crore. Now heading into its fourth weekend with a low of Rs 38 lakh.

‘Welcome To The Jungle’ faces competition from ‘The Odyssey’

The film’s box-office slowdown appears tied to the release of Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’, which hit Indian screens in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The Hollywood epic opened strongly, pulling in an estimated gross of Rs 20.76 crore and around Rs 17.40 crore net on day one. High occupancy across IMAX and other premium formats helped the film dominate multiplexes and premium screens, drawing in crowds who might otherwise have chosen homegrown films.

‘Welcome To The Jungle’ star cast and director

Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film has one of the biggest casts seen in Bollywood in recent times. Akshay Kumar leads the film, along with Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Raveena Tandon, Jackie Shroff, Rajpal Yadav, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Johny Lever, Lara Dutta, Aftab Shivdasani, Urvashi Rautela, Kiku Sharda, Krushna Abhishek, Daler Mehndi, Farida Jalal, Vindu Dara Singh, and many other actors.
