War 2 emerges as 6th biggest Hindi grosser of 2025

Hrithik Roshan’s ‘War 2’ emerges as 6th biggest Hindi grosser of 2025, surpasses Aamir Khan’s ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’

Hrithik Roshan’s ‘War 2’ has grossed ₹167.4 crore in Hindi, surpassing ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ to become the 6th biggest Hindi grosser of 2025. The film’s total collection across all languages in India stands at ₹224.25 crore. Part of the YRF Spy Universe, the next installment, ‘Alpha,’ starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, faces a potential clash with Kartik Aaryan’s film.

Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani’s War 2 after 12 days in cinemas, the Hindi version of the film has collected an impressive Rs 167.4 crore, surpassing the lifetime total of Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par (Rs 166.19 crore). With this milestone, War 2 has now secured the position of the 6th biggest Hindi grosser of 2025.Ayan Mukerju’s directorial raked in Rs 29 crore on Day 1 for its Hindi version with day 2 peaking at Rs 45 crore, it ended its week 1 collection at Rs 150.4 crore. The film maintained a steady footfall even in the second weekend where it collected Rs 17 crore in 4 days thereby going past box office collection of Aamir Khan’s comeback film Sitaare Zameen Par.While the Hindi version has been the driving force, War 2’s performance across languages has also been consistent. The film’s total collection across all versions currently stands at Rs 224.25 crore in the country. War 2 was the sixth installment in the YRF Spy Universe which has had films like Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan and Tiger 3. The next installment in the series is going to be led by Alia Bhatt and Sharvari with Alpha. The film directed by Shiv Rawail also stars Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor and is slated to release during Christmas weekend. If the buzz doing the rounds is true, Alpha, which was supposed to be a solo release, will now have to clash with Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela’s untitled romantic film directed by Anurag Basu. The film was earlier supposed to release on Diwali but had to be pushed as the shoot of the film is yet to be completed. War 2 will now have to face competition from Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s Param Sundari which is slated to release this Friday. It would be interesting to see how the film fares against a love story.
